COMPANY PROFILE
SPV Group (Pty) Ltd was established to amalgamate the service offerings of four renewable energy companies, each with its own focus area, to bring our clients quality, affordable, end-to-end renewable energy solutions.
The founding company, SPV Solar (Pty), brings valuable experience from within the renewable energy sector in South Africa, with a core focus on industrial and commercial solar photovoltaic rooftop and ground mounted systems. SPV Solar is the commercial arm of SPV Group, developing projects – including financial development where necessary. SPV Solar focuses primarily on the South African market.
Born out of the need to provide a quality Engineering, Procure, Construct (EPC) service company, SPV Engineering enables SPV Group to better control the quality of solar design, construction, installation and service to our clients.
With a focus on competitively priced, quality products, SPV Technologies is the procurement arm of SPV Group, with the aim of keeping project costs as low as possible.
SPV Africa is a full service renewable energy company with its core focus in Africa, encompassing the services provided by both SPV Engineering and Technologies. SPV Africa is a dollar based company to facilitate seamless cross border trading.
MISSION
The SPV Group mission is to deliver key infrastructure and energy projects throughout South Africa and Africa, focused on renewable energy as the solution to creating an accessible and affordable source of energy for African businesses.
VISION
Our vision is to facilitate the uptake of accessible and affordable sources of renewable energy -ensuring sustainable growth, job creation and development possibilities in all parts of the South Africa and Africa. As a fully integrated solar power producer, SPV Groupwill develop, build, own and operate its projects and therefore take ownership of the entire process of supplying end-to-end, clean energy solar solutions.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Company objectives are to identify the investment opportunities of commercial and industrial buildings according to the likelihood that they will invest in PV, and identify the main variables to which an investment in PV is sensitive, furthermore demonstrate the potential for reducing GHG emissions.
In order to achieve these objectives, the aim is to:
- Evaluate current perceptions that business owners & managers have of the feasibility of PV
- Describe the energy demand profiles of different categories of commercial sector buildings
- Assess the extent to which improvements in energy efficiency have already been made
- Compare the investment hurdles of various buildings (i.e.. Payback Period & Net Present Value)
- Consider providing a cash neutral investment to becoming cash positive.
- Estimate the lifecycle emissions of an installation compared to the emissions under a grid-only scenario
- Consider Small scale embedded generation (SSEG) feeding back to the grid, a carbon tax, and changing tariffs structures, will have on an investment in PV
SPV Solar’s mission is to do business in the Renewable Energy sector and create accessible and affordable source of energy, ensuring sustainable growth, job creation and development possibilities in all parts of the country.
The end product is power whether it is produced from a ground mounted solar facility plant or from a roof top installation.
SPV Engineering will provide a quality installation ensuring that the SSEG is a legally grid compliant system, according to regulation and required standards and where possible exceeding the required standards.
SPV Technologies procures only the best quality brands, with no compromise on standards, warranties and service. We have recently signed a solar module distribution agreement with one of the worlds largest quality module manufacture, offering a 30 year warranty on it’s products.
